Shell Heart.

Well finally I have found the time to write a new blog post and I am very glad to do so now. I am sorry for my long absence and I promise to make it up to you with lots of blog posts!
Anyway, I was at Coogee the other day and I wanted to go down the sand and look for some shells (abalone's in particular). I was looking for ages and ages but unfortunately I didn't find many... but I did find enough to make a heart shape out of shells! This heart wasn't exactly "found" but I did find the shells.

Unfortunately I haven't really found many other hearts lately. I will have to go heart hunting soon! I can't write more blog posts very well if I don't have any hearts to talk about.

Anyway... I hope the day was wonderful for everyone!

I Heart Food and Holidays.

Well, it's holidays for me now and to be honest, I am looking forward to a well earned break... well, I think it is well earned. Recently my friend sent me a photo of a cracker that she was eating that had a heart shaped hole in it, she took the photo i front of the T.V which was showing a scene of someone doing open heart surgery. I think this is the perfect picture to put on my blog.

I also took a photo recently of a steak that I couldn't eat (because I was sick and not eating anything) that I had cut into a heart shape. It doesn't really count as "finding" a heart but that doesn't matter because I haven't uploaded it anyway. If you really want to see the heart shaped steak then just post a comment to let me know.

One more thing to say to all those craft-loving people out there... my teacher gave us a knitting assignment! How awesome is that!

I Heart... (clearly not projects).

I should be doing my project (gulp) but I thought that since I FINALLY worked out how to upload my photos I think it is very important to share them with you.
Well... a few moths or so ago I went for a walk around my neighborhood and took many photos of hearts. I couldn't upload them at that time because I guess my computer was deciding to be difficult, believe me I was not happy. So anyway here are the photos!

This heart  I actually found on a clover that was growing through a crack near a wall...I wonder if it's grown since I last saw it?
This last little heart is my favorite and I thought it looked just perfect in between my shoes!
I also saw this really cool mushroom.
Well I apologize for my long absence but I will be back... and nothing is going to stop me! I sound like a superhero.

I Heart Parks.

The local park.

A few days ago I went to the local park that was near my Grandmothers house. I was Yarn Bombing with her but I also had enough time to take some photos of the lovely things I saw, for example I found some mushrooms that were embedded on a fallen tree.

I also found a kookaburra that was so close to me that I was able to take these photos of it.

I hope everyone's day today was like a walk in the park.

I Heart Flowers and Raindrops.

The sun shined in the morning and made me motivated to photograph. I took photos of all different kinds of flowers in my Grandmothers back and front yard today and ended up with these.

The first flowers I took photos of were in the front yard. They are of a Nareen, a pink flower I don't know the name of and a miniature rose.

The second lot of photos I took were in the back yard and these are of a yellow rose bush and a white rose bush.

I hope you like my photos and I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

I Heart the North Melbourne Markets.

The North Melbourne Markets.

Yesterday (17th April) I held a stall with my Grandmother at the North Melbourne Markets. We had a great time and I found LOTS of hearts which was good as well.
This is what our stall looked like.

We had ALOT off stuff that had been collected over the years and finally all of it ended up here.
We also met Allison and her children from Hill and Vale.
I even bought some lovely felt cookies that had no use what so ever BUT, I bought them anyway. I didn't buy them so they could just sit there though.

This probably isn't a hard question but... what do you think they would look best for?
What would you make out of these useless felt cookies?
Do you want to know my answer?

Brooches!
Don't you think they would be perfect for brooches, or even hair clips? There is even a heart shaped one which is great as well.

I recommend the North Melbourne Market to EVERYONE who is craft or vintage crazy and even to everyone who might not be as crazy about either. This is a really great Market and I think everyone will love it... I know I did!

I Heart the Craftsgirl.

Sportsgirl, although I am starting to doubt that.

Sportsgirl call themselves Sportsgirl, right? Well after seeing this in their store in Chadstone my doubts went from low to high in about three seconds.
When I walked into the store my first thought was WOW! I think that this is an absolutely awesome display to have.

I thought it was a really cool display AND all the crochet patterns are real crochet rugs, not just photographs!
As you can see below all the letters are covered in old dress pattern paper that just looks so cool and I think that it was a really good idea.

I even found some hearts which made it better.

The hearts were wonderful too!

I would have taken more photos but they asked me not to for copyright reasons and I thought that was reasonable enough so I obeyed.

Designs in these photos © Copyright of Sportsgirl.

I Heart the Last Cross Stitch.

The very last Cross Stitching project.

Well... yesterday I finished the very last cross stitch of my initials project...sadly. It took awhile before I got around to taking the photo but I finally did.

There it is, the very last of my five initials, M. I used the rainbow variegated thread that I absolutely adore and this was the result... I love it and I hope you do too.

I hope everyone had a very satisfying day just like I did yesterday.

I Heart Pins (Cushions) and Needles.

I love pins and needles...when they are in my craft basket and not my fingers and toes. Today a dear friend of mine gave me a gorgeous set of pin cushions and a needle case. I absolutely loved them so much AND the needle case even had a heart on it!

I thought it was a very nice thing for my friend to do and perfect for me and my future craft projects.

I Heart More and MORE Cross Stitching.

More Cross Stitching.

Today I FINALLY did the second last letter in my cross stitched initials and now I just can't wait to do the last one. I still had time to somehow associate my cross stitching with hearts though.

I even put it in a frame with hearts on it... of course!

Well I guess you can say that today I had a very crafty day indeed!

I Heart Shoe Shopping.

Shoe shopping to keep me warm.

I went to Doncaster today to shop for some new boots for me (I was only planning to buy ONE pair) and ended up buying two pairs. I thought that the shoes we bought were just so awesome so I decided to take a photo of them.

 Pair #1

 Pair #2
Pair #2 has two different ways that you can wear it so I took two photos. I loved these ones so much that I took a photo before I took the tags off. The photo above is one way you can wear them and the other way you can wear them is...

... like this!

But don't worry because with all this shoe shopping came lots of heart spotting.

Well that's it from me today. I hope everyone else had a great day just like I did.
